Fri Apr 20, 2012 - After a very, very long break OpenVMS.org will be sending out a new issue of the Newsletter next week. We are also getting the Alerts list (ECO kits, HP security, other urgent notifications) going within the next couple of weeks. Please be patient as we work out the kinks. HP announces that OpenVMS Alpha V6.2 and OpenVMS Alpha V6.2-1HX will move from PVS with SE to PVS without SE starting 1st May 2014.
EES availability for OpenVMS Alpha V8.2 and OpenVMS I64 V8.2-1 would be ending on 30th April 2014.

HP have released a Mandatory Update kit (MUP) for various versions of OpenVMS to a fix a system crash when SET PROCESS/SCHEDULING_CLASS command is issued.
The kit also fixes a RMS issue with SET DIRECTORY/SYMLINK= WILDCARD (for some versions of OpenVMS). NOTE: Release notes also mention an unspecified security issue.
